The weather forecast for North Bengal indicates that temperatures will continue to drop and that winter will arrive gradually.

 According to the Meteorological Department, winter will start to set in around the middle of December. But the temperature is dropping steadily. In North Bengal, there is a chill in the air in the evening due to frost and icy winds. There is still no biting in the air at Malda and the other two Dinajpurs. Residents of Siliguri, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, and Cooch Behar have been going about in sweater jackets since Sunday afternoon due to the severe wind.
