One woman is killed by family or loved ones worldwide every 11 minutes: United Nations

 Every 11 minutes, a woman is killed by her living partner or a family member around the world. This is what the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, said. Expressing concern over the rising incidence of violence against women, she called on governments of all countries to take action. International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women is coming up on November 25. Before that, the General Secretary of the United Nations said so.
